IMAGINE A DEATH LIKE PERMANENT ENDLESS BLUE.

one of my weirdest interests/obsessions is the image of a blue screen representing death or destruction. this is where i store links and references to it. the most obvious is the windows blue screen of death, of course, but i hold out hope that there's enough that this will become a pattern. do you have any more instances of this? or things that are sort of similar? please email me at Clattering24@proton.me! i'm always excited to hear it!

Requirements:

- Must involve a 'screen' of some kind: movie screen, computer screen, etc.

- Must involve a shade of blue. no particular shade, although i do prefer the 'bright blue' that this page is.

- MUST involve death, or implied destruction.

Instances:

Instance #1: the windows 'Blue Screen Of Death'. (or BSOD, shortened.) link to wikipedia article

Instance #2: the 1993 film 'Blue', loosely about and certainly affected by the filmmaker's death from aids. described in 'Bluets' by Maggie Nelson Smith as 'a death he also forecast on film as disappearing into a 'blue screen'. link to wikipedia article

Instance #3: 'Garden Song' by Phoebe Bridgers: specifically the lyric 'I'm at the movies/ I dont remember what I'm seeing/ The screen turns into a tidal wave". link to song

close but not quite

the album art for 'home video' by lucy dacus depicts a blue movie screen above an empty (save for lucy dacus) movie theater. this is uncannily similar to what i picture in my mind, but not linked enough to death to qualify, although the album does feature heavily themes of leaving things behind. link to album
